Security Update: Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Cancun
A new travel advisory was released by the U.S. Department of State recently regarding safety for United States citizens traveling to Mexico. Even though the security alerts for the country as a whole continue to cause concern, we are delighted to announce that there are no current travel restrictions placed on tourist destinations in Mexico’s most sought-after regions for extraordinary vacations, such as Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Cancun.
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur
Los Cabos is the area surrounding and including Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo at the very southern tip of the Baja California Sur peninsula. The area is a favorite for tourists traveling from the United States due to its warm, sunny weather, amazing beaches, and close proximity to the U.S.
Vacationers to Los Cabos can expect a great opportunity for adventure, with abundant land and water sports, as well as plenty of time for relaxation and pampering. Garza Blanca has just opened a fabulous new resort in Los Cabos and we are happy to receive guests without any concerns about safety.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
Puerto Vallarta is home to sunny weather, powdery white sand beaches and the beautiful Pacific waters of the Bay of Banderas, making it a gorgeous and inviting haven for tourists.
The area is well known for its friendly people and warm Mexican hospitality, and a vacation there is sure to be amazing. Safety is another thing that Puerto Vallarta is well known for, and when you book a vacation at Garza Blanca Preserve & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, you can bask in an enchanting Pacific getaway without worrying about your safety or security.

Cancun, Quintana Roo
Cancun has grown to become one of the top destinations for tourism in Mexico, and because of this, local officials take the safety of their region very seriously. In order to keep the tourists who visit from around the world safe while visiting Cancun, the city is carefully patrolled by federal, state and local police forces. Seeing such an abundance of police officers constantly present might take some getting used to, but it is actually a terrific thing to have them visible around the clock. They are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of their city so that everyone, both locals and tourists, can enjoy the alluring seaside environment in total relaxation.

Safety Tips for Traveling
As you get ready to travel somewhere, it is a good idea to recall some basic travel safety tips, regardless of your destination. These tips are useful when traveling to Mexico, of course, but are practical anywhere in the world (even in your home country!).
Obviously, your first line of defense when staying safe while traveling is to use common sense and remain alert in all situations.
When you visit an ATM (we strongly recommend using only ATMs that are found at reputable local banks or those at your resort), be vigilant in shielding the screen and keypad. Do not wear expensive jewelry or watches that might attract unwanted attention, and avoid taking excessive amounts of cash out and about with you. If you will be going to any local casinos, bars or nightclubs, stay cautious and designate at least one person in your travel group to remain sober and keep an eye on everyone else. Stick together with your travel companions rather than splitting up, especially when out at late at night. If you plan to drive, make it a point to travel during daylight hours. Choosing to take a taxi at night is always a great idea, just to be on the safe side.
