Garza Blanca Los Cabos Receives Travel + Leisure World's Best Award 2021
Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos has had the honor to receive a Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award 2021 in the category of “The Top 25 Resort Hotels in Mexico.”
This list is part of a larger yearly campaign that Travel + Leisure runs called the World’s Best Awards, in which readers vote on the best islands, cities, hotels, cruise lines, airports, tour operators, and more, all over the world.
The 2021 World’s Best Awards survey was open for voting from January 11 through May 10. Readers voted based on their personal travel experiences over the last three years.
Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards
Readers rated Mexican resorts on characteristics such as rooms, facilities, location, service, food, and value. For each characteristic, they could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. They were only allowed to vote only once for each candidate. The final scores are averages of their responses.
Candidates could promote the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award survey through email, social media, and other creative efforts, and by using the official World’s Best Awards hashtag #TLWorldsBest.
Garza Blanca Ranked 12 out of 25
Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos was ranked number 12 out of 25 on the list, with a score of 95.67.
The fact that travelers want to get a real taste of Mexico when they visit Los Cabos was not lost on Garza Blanca’s designers. This has been known for quite some time, although the 2021 survey in Travel + Leisure certainly reinforced this knowledge. After all, experiencing culture is one of the top reasons why people travel away from their home country!
We have made it our mission to make sure that you can experience many facets of Mexico while visiting Garza Blanca. The resort’s contemporary design is inspired by the natural landscape. The resort grounds are landscaped with Mexican native plants and, of course, palm trees swaying in the breeze, as there always are along the beaches of Mexico. The décor inside all the rooms and suites is also inspired by nature. The whole concept is based on marine life. The material for the floor was chosen to be quiet in the room, so that with all the accessories, the room comes to life. In the living rooms of the suites, there are lounge chairs with the geometry of coral, the coffee table is a vault representing some type of treasure found in the depths of the ocean, the furniture and decor are accentuated with the colors of the sand and the sea.
The artwork on the walls was also selected to give context to the marine life concept, and a beautiful coral-inspired panel separates the bathroom from the bedroom. The décor in the suites is made up of a variety of tones and textures and the goal was always to produce quality and elegant spaces. The materials were selected with the purpose of enriching the guest experience while living in the space.
Mexican Culture is Important to Travelers
Travel + Leisure readers showed preference for resorts that offer a strong connection with the local culture and environment. Readers showed that they love to experience the richness and vibrance of Mexican history, cuisine, art, science, and culture while they vacation. You can enjoy this too at Garza Blanca Los Cabos, click here to travel this September!
Taste Tradition
You can experience a true taste of Mexican culture in the restaurants. Garza Blanca has always prided ourselves on being an all-inclusive resort with great food, but we go way beyond that. Blanca Blue serves Mexican contemporary cuisine, and our chef uses fresh, local ingredients to create special dishes that combine pre-Hispanic flavors with a modern, creative flair. Blanca Blue’s menu is designed to take your palate on a delicious journey through different regions of Mexico, with haute cuisine options as well as local favorites. The menu is updated on a regular basis so that guests who visit frequently can try new options, but some examples are corn tamales, tuna ceviche, grilled avocado, fried squash blossoms, plantain turnovers, fried octopus, pork and tomatillo stew, and duck crackling and mole (with 50 ingredients!)
The Food Truck at the beach serves the best raw delicacies from the sea, including fresh oysters, and even The Snack poolside snack bar has local favorite Mexican dishes for lunch.
You can also find many cultural events happening at Garza Blanca. We always have celebrations for each season and holiday. We offer tequila and mezcal tastings, Mexican wine tastings, weekly cooking classes with the chef patrons of each of our gourmet restaurants, and romantic private dinners on the beach underneath the Mexican sky.
The resort also offers complimentary resort activities including an electric beach bicycle tour, yoga and Pilates, Spanish lessons, dance classes, aqua fitness, beach volleyball, and more.
So, whenever you’re seeking a getaway that’s more authentic than a beach and a margarita (although we have those, too!), head down to Garza Blanca Los Cabos, the proud recipient of Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award, and see what cultural elements we have prepared for you to experience! We know you will always be surprised and delighted!
