Gourmet Adventures with Our Chef Patrons

Hiroshi Class & Sake Tasting

Hiroshi is a sensational Japanese Restaurant that offers Japanese and Mexican fusion cuisine, combining Japanese ingredients with Mexican flavors. Popular Asian-style menu items include sashimi, nigiri, and O-toro sushi rolls.

Hiroshi Restaurant

The restaurant has an Eastern contemporary minimalist style and is based on the concept of shoal, expressed by the elegant movement of the impressive fish chandelier. The elegant decor, which utilizes a combination of black stone, mirror polished metal, and wood, creates the ideal atmosphere to enjoy an exciting fusion of new flavor sensations that dance on your tongue.

Carlos Leyva is Hiroshi’s talented chef patron, who has a wealth of experience creating taste-bud tingling dishes and a flair for Japanese cuisine. He is originally from La Paz, Mexico and has worked at Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta, Villa del Palmar in Cancun, and Nick San in Cabo San Lucas before moving to Garza Blanca Los Cabos.

Chef Leyva is dedicated to his craft and applies cutting-edge culinary techniques to create innovative and flavorsome dishes prepared with locally grown ingredients and fresh seafood.

Meet Chef Leyva

You will find Chef Leyva every Monday at 2:00 pm at the Robata Bar. The recipes that he teaches alternate each week between the Wonton Tostada with tuna or vegetable tartare, Spicy Hamachi Temaki (Japanese yellowtail hand roll), and the Salmon Skin Roll. The dish will be paired with sake and you will have the opportunity to try different types of sake.

Hiroshi Cooking

During these workshops, you will learn how to make flawless Japanese dishes with exquisite flavors. And these dishes, while tasting incredible, are actually easier to prepare than you might think. If you have never made sushi before, during the Salmon Skin Roll class you will learn how to create personalized pieces, handmade by you! And when you return home, plan a sushi dinner party where everyone can have fun rolling the nori sheets around the sushi rice with all your favorite fillings.

BocaDos Class & Wine Tasting

Bocados Restaurant

BocaDos Steak House specializes in flavorful meat dishes. Chef Alvaro is the star chef patron of this restaurant. He is passionate about grilling and cooking with charcoal or firewood. BocaDos aligns with his passion and is a steak house where these cooking techniques are used to create tender and mouthwatering chops.

The concept of the restaurant design is fire and smoke and is a mix of black gradients to represent smoke complemented by vibrant shades of gold to represent fire. The fabulous show kitchen allows you to see the chefs at work as well as to inhale the aromas that immerse you in a sea of emotions and memories. BocaDos also features a large ocean facing terrace with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and a quaint ambiance, especially under the stars and the moonlight where you can enjoy a fabulous meal and refreshing ocean breezes.

Bocados Dishes

This Steak House is unique because it makes its own dry-aged meat right at the resort. The choice cuts of beef are aged in the dry-aging fridge. The most tender dry-aged chops are aged for between 52 and 55 days, which results in a more intense flavor. Guests have the choice of Rib Eye, Bone-in Rib Eye, Porterhouse, New York, and Cowboy. For vegetarians, the restaurant also offers a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes including signature salads, pasta, risotto, and seasonal vegetables that are locally sourced.

Meet Chef Álvaro

Bocados Chef

Chef Carlos Álvaro shares his master cooking techniques every Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Robata Bar. The recipes that he teaches alternate each week between Short Rib and Rib Eye Street Tacos, Mussels Alla Sorrentina, and Pacific Salmon. Guests will get to sample the dishes paired with wine during the workshop.

In addition to being a master chef, Chef Álvaro is also very down to earth. He will delight in answering your questions and hopefully you will learn something new to be able to impress your friends and family back home.

Blanca Blue Class & Tequila Tasting

Blanca Blue Restaurant

Blanca Blue is Garza Blanca´s signature Mexican restaurant. The restaurant specializes in innovative Mexican cuisine with modern twists on traditional recipes. The menu also includes international favorites with a Mexican twist.

The interior design of the restaurant is pure, organic, and natural expressed through its mother-of-pearl white color scheme accentuated by glitzy gold chandeliers and coral textures, which create the perfect atmosphere to appreciate the sensational cuisine. Blanca Blue also offers diners the opportunity to enjoy al fresco dining out on the spacious terrace overlooking the stunning azure ocean.

Meet Chef Segura

Blanca Blue Cooking

Chef Segura is Blanca Blue’s talented chef patron. He leads guests in a cooking class each Friday at 2:00 pm at the Robata Bar. The recipes he teaches alternate weekly between Guacamole, Tuna Tostadas, and Pork Tacos. He will teach you the essence of combining the flavors and traditions of Mexico’s heritage. You will have the opportunity to sample the dish paired with a tequila tasting.

Blanca Blue Dishes

The secret to Segura’s success is that he takes time with the dishes he prepares. His preferred cooking method is slow-cooked. He says that cooking is a process and food needs to be prepared with love, rather than in a rush, in order to taste great. His favorite dish on the menu is Pork Tacos, which has been on the menu since the restaurant opened, since it has a deep connection of what Mexican cuisine means to him and his interpretation as a chef.
